WHEN THE KING OF GLORY TAKES THE ROOM

The new move of God’s Glory—the coming of His Kevod—will carry with it a holy fear and trembling upon spiritual leaders. Habakkuk 2:14 declares that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” I believe we are entering an hour when this will become more than a verse we quote; it will become an experienced reality.
As the knowledge of His Glory increases, leaders will become increasingly aware of the danger of stepping ahead of the Holy Spirit. They will enter gatherings almost as one walking on thin ice—slowly, carefully, prayerfully—sensitive to every movement of the Spirit. There will be less presumption and more trembling.
Less human control and more divine government. Less concern about following the program and a greater concern about following the presence. Every song, transition, message, offering, announcement, and prophetic word will be weighed against one question: “Holy Spirit, what are You doing right now?”
This is where Habakkuk 2:14 becomes living reality. As worship, surrender, obedience, and reverence rise before the Throne like fragrant incense, an atmosphere is prepared for the Kevod of God to descend—for the reality of the Third Heaven to intersect the reality of the first heaven. Heaven touches earth.
The invisible becomes perceptible. The weight of His presence fills the room.
And suddenly people do not merely hear about the Glory of God—they begin to know His Glory.'
This is the prophetic distinction of Habakkuk 2:14. The promise is not merely that the earth will be filled with Glory, but with the knowledge of His Glory. It speaks of an experiential knowing—a generation encountering the weight, majesty, holiness, and presence of God for themselves. In that atmosphere, leaders must know when to speak and when to remain silent; when to move and when to wait; when to preach and when to allow the Holy Spirit Himself to become the preacher. The greater the Glory, the greater the reverence. The greater the manifestation, the greater the sensitivity. The heavier the Kevod, the more carefully we must walk.
Habakkuk saw an earth covered with the knowledge of God’s Glory. Perhaps part of that fulfillment begins when the Church learns again how to make room for the King of Glory.
